Suzan Patrick, CMP
Suzan has worked in the event planning arena for 20 years professionally, but has been planning events for most of her life. Starting with high school dances, pep rallies and other student government sponsored events, on to charity events for Special Olympics and national political fundraising events and class reunions, she has always been a planner.
Her professional experience includes many Fortune 500 clients including Coors Brewing Company, Suncor Energy, Allstate Insurance, Arrow Electronics, Aetna Insurance and TD Ameritrade. Additionally, she has worked with multiple pharmaceutical companies such as Eli Lilly, Pfizer, Genovia and Takeda. She has also worked on the national level with fund raising events for ALSAC/St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, The Eric Trump Foundation, The American Cancer Society and several other non-profit organizations.
Successfully managing budgets upwards to $2,000,000, Suzan always offers a huge focus on cost savings. In 2006, her annual savings to the client exceeded $217,000 and $85,000 in 2009, during a time when very few corporate meetings were even still being held in the financial world. She has keen negotiating skills, and her southern upbringing keeps her in tune with the relationship management component to successful planning.
A few highlight events include Molson-Coors New York Stock Exchange Merger Event, Annual Analyst Meetings in New York and Toronto and a day of Community Service in New Orleans, post Hurricane Katrina. She has enjoyed working with many non-profits locally in Denver including The United Way and Family Tree. She has helped St. Jude Children’s Hospital raise tens of millions of dollars in the last few years.
Suzan enjoys resolving challenging situations and she loves working with teams to bring successful meetings, conventions and events to life. She achieved the CMP designation in 2009 and continues to stay active within the industry. She offers highly organized, people-oriented service with a smile. She is passionate about tending to the smallest of details.
Giving back to the community has become something Suzan is very actively involved with both personally and professionally. She is happy to offer her skills when her schedule allows. She volunteers at the classroom level for Junior Achievement, served for 4 years as an After-prom Committee Chair at Cherry Creek High School. She serves as a board member on the LSU Denver Alumni group where she plans ongoing events throughout the year.
Suzan splits her time between Denver and New Orleans. When not working she enjoys fishing and boating in the Gulf of Mexico and traveling to new places. She is always happy to sit back and enjoy a good music or comedy show, also.
